EHT Eco-floral Techniques in Hand Tied Bouquets – one of our Eco-Floral series.
Hand-tied arranging method has become one of the most practical ways to arrange flowers and foliage to form a bouquet, becoming an essential design style for professional floral designers. This course explores different practical techniques and designs focusing on hand-tie bouquets. Through a total of 12 different design interpretations, students will have hands-on experiences with the classic spiral techniques, learn about colour theory in bouquets combining flowers’ unique gestures and various textures as well as understand the importance of negative space so as to create hand-tied bouquets that are spacious and “undone” or timeless and elegant.

Suitable for floristry beginners wanting to expand and grow their floristry skills. Perfect for those who enjoy having fresh flowers at home. This course focuses on practical skills, techniques taught can then be interpreted into everyday hand-tie bouquets with different design styles: European Country style, Modern Natural style or explore further in our FRB French Hand-tied Bouquet Designs.
Remarks: This course teaches 12 practical techniques for hand-tied bouquets. Whilst our NB series focuses on exploring further in hand-tie bouquet specifically in minimalistic contemporary designs. FRB elaborates further on hand-tie bouquet specifically in French vegetative design style. WB focuses on hand-tied gift bouquets with packaging techniques.
The techniques taught in these courses are different, the skills taught in EHT will not be included in other courses. Skills learned can be combined with different styles that will impress on any special occasions. We recommend students to have some experience from EFA Modern European Flower Arrangement and FG Creative Floral Gift Design in order to have a basic understanding on hand-tie spiraling technique and grasp the concepts better, thus being able to nurture your own creativity.

About the Class
Interactive learning approach – Our classes are fun, informative, friendly and relaxed. We will present students with a handout covering the design topic of each class with botanical names of the flowers and foliages used in both English & Chinese, sketches and sample photos to assist learning. Following a step-by-step method to ensure students develop the necessary applicable techniques and skills.
Guided by our experienced instructors every step of the way with feedback as you focus on the building blocks of the craft and establishing a strong foundation of floral know-how. Everything you make is yours to take home – which will be another learning opportunity to observe different flowers and foliages’ full character and vase life.
